This course is currently in the Autumn Brochure as 'Understanding and Managing Personality Disorders' Who is this for? This interactive 2 part course is designed for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of personality and how it shapes our interactions and experiences. Whether you have a diagnosis of any personality disorder or have someone in your life that you would like to better understand, this course offers valuable insights and practical tools that can help you improve relationships, communication and personal growth. What will I learn? Workshop 1 We will explore together, what personality challenges and specific disorders are, including patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that characterise them. We will provide a foundation of understanding this complex issue by looking more closely at some of the reasons for personality challenges and conditions, including the role of genetics and early life experiences. Workshop 2 We will review and discuss various treatments and the support options available, including therapeutic approaches and practical strategies for managing personality challenges. We will also look at how to build supportive relationships and where to find the resources to aid in this process. How can I use what I learn? You can use what you learn to enhance your self- awareness and develop empathy for those with personality challenges and those supporting them. and apply practical strategies and resource to improve your relationships and offer effective support.
