Self-Acceptance is the willingness to experience ourselves as we are (Tara Brench) Who is this for? Self-Acceptance involves acknowledging and embracing all aspects of ourselves, including strengths and weaknesses and that it is a bumpy road to ride. We are not used to embracing ourselves with kindness and acceptance. However, we do know that mental wellbeing is enhanced by this practice – our self-esteem improves, our self-image is more positive, our sense of worth increased as our confidence grows, and relationships are more genuine. This workshop is designed for those individuals that wish to explore the practice of self-acceptance to increase mental wellbeing and foster continuous personal development and growth. What will I learn? We will explore self-acceptance, its benefits, and the importance of understanding that there is gradual process to it that requires time and persistence. We will learn practices to develop self-acceptance and reflect on our accomplishments, be mindful of our language and challenge those inner beliefs that hold us back We will lean actionable steps to increase self-acceptance in our daily lives, identify possible challenges and setting realistic goals to move forward in our journey. How can I use what I learn? You can use what you learn but being more mindful in your day-to-day interactions with yourself. Being more aware of your inner narrative to reduce self- judgement and increase self-acceptance. The workshop will provide you with tools to be able to reflect on your strengths, positive qualities and achievements – how they contribute to your life so you can embark on a journey towards a more positive and fulfilling life.
