Participants need only sing up to one session at a time, bring a willingness to try something new and enjoy the experience of singing in a supportive, non-judgmental group. What will I learn? These weekly singing taster sessions provide a safe and supportive space for students to enjoy some easy, fun singing, connect with others, and experience the therapeutic benefits of music. These sessions are open to all abilities, the sessions are designed to encourage self-expression, confidence, and a sense of community through music. Each session includes a gentle warm-up, breathing exercises, and simple songs from a range of genres. No prior experience or musical skill is necessary—everyone is encouraged to join in at their own comfort level. Sessions are relaxed, with an emphasis on enjoyment and fun. How can I use what I learn? Singing is known to support mental well-being, reduce stress, and boost mood. In these sessions, participants may experience increased confidence, better emotional regulation, and improved social connections. Group singing can be uplifting, helping to foster resilience and a sense of belonging.
