This course is for anyone interested in different ways to connect and view the world. You will be gently guided through several different approaches. These sessions will be gentle, fun, and very relaxed and will work at the pace that suits you. We hope to share how immersing ourselves in creativity can bring joy and help us to connect and remind us of all the stories to be sought in our everyday and from a new perspective. This course is not about a product it is about the journey of the undiscovered. Who is this for? This course is perfect for anyone eager to explore new ways to connect with the world around them. Whether you are a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, these sessions are designed to be relaxed, fun, and tailored to your pace, offering a nurturing environment where your creativity can flourish. What will I learn? During the sessions you will have the opportunity to explore different ways of creating art pieces through, drawing, collage and experimenting with photography, working individually and as a group to create pieces collectively. You will have the opportunity to explore different artistic techniques that encourage you to see the world differently, sparking inspiration and creativity in every aspect of your life. This term we will begin an exciting new project called The Weather Museum and together we will explore how it affects us and binds us all together as well as looking at Bracknell’s historical connections with its Meteorological Office and Shipping Forecasts. How can I use what I learn? You will discover new ways to look at the world. The new skills you will learn will enable you the confidence to initiate your own projects and understand how the arts can have a profound effect on our wellbeing. By the end of the course, you will have gained not only new artistic skills but also a fresh perspective on how to approach everyday life. These newfound abilities will give you the confidence to start your own creative projects and a deeper understanding of how engaging in the arts can significantly enhance your well-being.
