Course / Workshop Content

Who is this for? This workshop is for anyone wishing to better understand better neurodivergent conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia etc. This workshop can be a good starting point to learn how to support those who are neurodivergent. Family members, carers, social workers, key workers as well as those who are neurodivergent, are all welcome to attend. What will I learn? You will learn how to consider and celebrate the differences in thinking, processing information and behaviours that accompany neurodiversity. This understanding will help you support yourself and others who are neurodivergent. You will learn about ND traits, challenges and strengths and understand the connection between certain conditions and mental health issues and how to support and help those experiencing these. The workshop provides ideas for making adjustments that enable those who are neurodivergent to feel safe, connected, and able to thrive. How can I use what I learn? You will be able to use your knowledge and understanding of neurodivergent conditions to support others or yourself. You can use the practical tips and strategies to help yourself or those you work or live with, whenever there are difficult situations. You will be also be more able to perceive ND strengths and talents in those with them.
