Who is this for? This interactive workshop is designed for anyone curious about the impact of our increasingly digital lives and interested in exploring the benefits of reducing screen time. If you are feeling overwhelmed by being constant ‘plugged in’ or simply want to regain control over your technology use, this workshop is for you. What will I learn? Workshop 1 While technology brings many benefits, it can also present new challenges. Although you may feel that you cannot imagine life without your technology devices, research tells us that technology most can contribute to stress, disrupted sleep, weakened social connections and feeling less happy. Workshop 2 Together, we will learn to identify the often-subtle signs of digital overload and find practical strategies that can help us to set healthier but realistic personal boundaries with your devices, including defining goals that work best for you and allowing you to regain focus and improve your overall well-being. How can I use what I learn? By the end of this workshop, you will take home some practical tips and a personalised plan to help you take time away from digital devices so that your focus is sharper, you feel less stressed, have improved sleep, better social interactions, ultimately leading to increased happiness and a more balanced life.
