Creative with Art: Traditional drawing, painting, and printing techniques Who is this for? This course is perfect for anyone eager to explore and develop their creative skills, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to rekindle your passion for art. With a gentle and supportive approach, you will be guided through various artistic techniques, with plenty of practical help and demonstrations along the way. Our workshops are designed to be fun, relaxed, and tailored to your pace, making them an inviting space for all levels of experience. What will I learn? During the sessions you will have the opportunity to look at using different techniques, materials and how they can inspire your creativity. You will be able to work across many media, drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and to look at how artists and designers use inspiration to create art. We hope to share how immersing ourselves in creativity can bring joy and help us to connect and remind us of all the stories to be sought in our everyday. This term we will begin an exciting new project called The Weather Museum and together we will explore how it affects us and binds us all together as well as looking at Bracknell’s historical connections with its Meteorological Office and Shipping Forecasts. How can I use what I learn? You will discover new ways to look at the world, be it through colour, an artist led walk, or lying on the ground and painting the sky. The new skills you will learn may give you the confidence to start your own projects and understand how the arts can have a really deep and positive effect on our wellbeing.
