Course / Workshop Content

This course is in the Autumn term brochure as a one off workshop on Tuesday 1st October We have now extended the course to run over 2 sessions as requested from student feedback. Who is this for? This is a 2-part interactive and uplifting workshop designed for anyone who knows or thinks that they may have ADHD or has an adult in their life with ADHD, and they would like to gain a deeper insight into the experiences and challenges that come with this. So, if you have ever wondered how to navigate and get the best out of the unique quirks and challenges of ADHD, this course is for you. What will I learn? Workshop 1 – We will explore together the often-overlooked positive aspects of ADHD. While ADHD is frequently associated with challenges with a person’s focus and organisation, research highlights that it can also bring unique strengths such as creativity, hyperfocus and high energy levels. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, we will look at how these traits can be harnessed as powerful assets in both personal and professional lives. Workshop 2 – We will shift our focus to discovering practical strategies for maximizing our potential and enhancing productivity. You will gain evidence- based tips and tricks for managing time, organising tasks and finding the right balance that works for you. Techniques such as time-blocking, task prioritising and environmental adjustments will be explored, all tailored to the ADHD’s brain’s unique way of processing information. How can I use what I will learn? By the end of the course, you will not only have a better understanding of how to turn ADHD related challenges into opportunities but also leave with a personalised action plan to boost your productivity and thrive in your everyday life. We hope you will leave the workshops with an increased positivity about your own productivity and potential and invaluable tools and insights you can immediately apply to your daily life. If you are a person who has someone with ADHD in your life, you will leave with further insight into this, leading to a better understanding and ways to support them.
